2013-2014   Postdoctoral position at the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics of the Radboud University Nijmegen in The Netherlands, working on chemical abundances of stellar populations and semi-numerical neutrino fluxes in correlation with GRBs.

2012   Visiting astronomer at the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics of the Radboud University Nijmegen in The Netherlands, working on GRBs and their connection with neutrinos.

2011   Postdoctoral position at the department of Physics and Astronomy of the Utrecht University in The Netherlands, working on Globular Clusters in M31 and theoretical neutrino fluxes from GRBs.

2007   Postdoctoral position at the department of Physics and Astronomy of the Utrecht University in The Netherlands, working on spectroscopic and photometric analysis of Globular Clusters in M31.

2003-2005   Post-doctoral associate at the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Garching, Germany, working on study of GRB light curves, and photometry and astrometry of AO images of very crowded fields (Galactic globular clusters).

2002   Post-doctoral researcher at the Center for Adaptive Optics (CfAO) at the University of California at Santa Cruz, working on photometry and astrometry analysis of AO images of very crowded fields (Galactic Center).

2001   Visiting post-doctoral researcher at the Center for Adaptive Optics at the University of California at Santa Cruz.

1997-2000   PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Radio-Astronomy and University of Bonn, studying GRB analytical modeling and origin of UHE cosmic rays and neutrinos.

1993-1997  Undergraduate student first at the University of Bologna (master in astronomy) and later on at La Sapienza University in Rome (master in physics), studying detection of elementary particles (magnetic monopoles and neutrinos) at the National Laboratories of Gran Sasso in Italy.
